GUESS WHAT? Well, you probably already know based on our blog title but we are gonna yell about it all day long anyway: UMBRELLA COLLECTIVE IS MOVING IN!!
YAY. YAY. YAAAAYYYY!! We are beyond excited to announce this and can't wait to celebrate owner, Erin Sim and the arrival of her brand Umbrella Collective. She will be the latest addition to our growing boutique in Kaimuki :)
Erin is a local-girl who now lives in Portland. She started UC back in 2014 and is a true "maker" and we love the care she puts into each product - everything is designed by her and HANDMADE :) Here is a quick snapshot of her home studio in Portland, just to give you a snapshot of all the things that go into making her bags.
We've obviously been a huge fan of UC's modern and minimalist aesthetic for a long time (Summer's #1 bag for every day is the Travel Tote)...and luckily this past season we connected as friends :) You might not know this, but Erin (and her boyfriend Nick) really helped push us to apply for those Renegade Craft Fairs. Then, when we got accepted, they supported us SO MUCH. They gave us valuable advice, shared business tactics, and even kept us fed during the show! We are so grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn next to them.
Ok, I already know your next question is going to be "when is this all happening?" and I'm happy to announce we are launching THIS SATURDAY!
Join us SATURDAY 10/12 between 10a - 3p to meet Erin and get the FIRST peek at her newest design!! She's debuting the Double Strap Hobo Bag HERE. There will also be limited-edition GOLD Wristlets, and passport holders too.
